The Everest Project is not about collecting summits or chasing records. For me, it is a personal journey to explore both myself and the mountain in its wildest form: alone, in winter, without bottled oxygen, and with as little support as possible.<\/p>

Along the way, I try to share the entire process openly. The successes, the setbacks, the doubts, and the lessons learned.<\/p>

    Where does the money go?<\/h2>

    Expeditions to remote mountains are expensive. There are travel costs, permits, liaison officers, logistics, transport, and countless other expenses that come with operating in some of the most challenging environments on Earth.<\/p>

    What many people don\u2019t see, however, is that the preparation is often even more costly than the expedition itself.<\/p>

    My goal is not simply to go to the mountains, but to become the best alpinist I can be. To achieve that, I try to work with the best people possible and continuously improve every aspect of my performance.<\/p>

    This includes working with experienced coaches, physiotherapists, sports psychologists, and other specialists who help me prepare for the physical and mental demands of high-altitude climbing.<\/p>

    One area where I see enormous untapped potential is nutrition. Proper fueling has a huge impact on training, recovery, performance, and ultimately success in the mountains. For that reason, all current donations will go towards funding professional nutritional support. Working with an experienced sports nutritionist is something I would love to add to the team, and I believe it could make a meaningful difference to the project.<\/p>

    More broadly, your support helps create opportunities to work with experts whose knowledge can make me a better athlete and improve the quality and safety of the expedition itself.<\/p>

    And if you happen to be a nutritionist, or an expert in any field that could contribute to the project and would like to support the journey, I would love to hear from you. There are many areas in which I would like to improve and learn, but that currently remain beyond the project\u2019s budget.<\/p>

    Every contribution, whether financial or through expertise, helps move the project forward.<\/p>

    P.S. Over the years, I have received more and more requests for signed autograph cards. I am incredibly grateful for that support. For a long time, I tried to send them out free of charge whenever possible. Unfortunately, the number of requests has grown to a point where this is no longer feasible. By linking autograph cards and expedition postcards to project support, I can continue sending them while helping cover the costs of printing, administration, and shipping.
